🧐 Responsibilities
- Drive and accelerate the growth of Postman’s collaboration offerings for partner APIs.
- Design and validate experiences that enable teams to efficiently collaborate with partners to build or sell API capabilities.
- Own the user experience from ideation to execution, working closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market (GTM) stakeholders.
- Strategically define UX goals and opportunities for cross-product developer workflows, keeping business outcomes like active usage and revenue in focus.
- Conduct research to gather and consolidate customer insights (qualitative and quantitative) that inform strategy, priorities, requirements, and use cases for partner workspaces.
- Produce design deliverables consistent with Postman’s experience and brand standards.
- Engage in continuous social listening through platforms like Twitter, GitHub, and Zendesk to better understand user experiences.
- Foster a vibrant developer community and implement feedback mechanisms to improve user satisfaction.
- Act as the voice of the user within your team, clearly communicating user concerns, motivations, and feedback internally and externally.
⛳️ Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in end-to-end design practices, ideally within companies solving real-world challenges.
- Experience successfully rolling out and scaling early-stage products.
- Ability to work in an experimentally driven product team, validating hypotheses to build conviction in design approaches.
- Proficiency in creating quick, low-fidelity mockups (e.g., pencil sketches) and high-fidelity prototypes to articulate detailed experiences and user interactions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to keep the broader team informed about your work, product goals, user insights, and successes.
- Understanding of APIs and their role in developer tools; hands-on development experience is a plus.
- Curiosity and a proactive approach to learning about developer tools and how they work together.
